Synopsis |
Two pipe lines from D-Island to Karabatan processing plant needed to re-installed. The main challenge was the stretch between the Caspian Sea and the shore, a barran swamp area of approx 15 kilometer. Bonatti was the pipe line contractor and FKP was assigned as the survey company. FKP approached CSGEO for an innovative and safe method for surveying the two trenches .
CSGeo provided a 200 kHz single beam echo sounder and a remote operated catamaran for the job. Special software was written for operations and the data processing. |
