Anara graduated from Almaty state university with a major in Topographic and mining survey. 

After he graduation she worked with a local offshore geophysical company before she joined Fugro Kazprojects LLP in 2010 as chief surveyor. With Fugro Kazprojects LLP she was mainly working in positioning barges for geotechnical surveys and hydrographic surveys. She also worked as a survey manager in Tengiz and Karabatan.

In 2020 she joined Stema Systems as their operations manager East Europe and Kazakhstan.
