Gratuated in 1999 in teh Netherlands with a major in offshore hydrauylics engineering, he worked eight years as a surveyor for the dredging company Van Oord all over the world.

In 2007 he moved to Fugro as European manager of instrumentation, geophysics and pile testing. As from 2014 he worked for Fugro Kazprojects LLP as technical director for the Caspian region. In 2018 he returned to Fugro Europe as the service lines manager foundation testing Europe and Middle East.

He has a large network within European service companies and instrument suppliers.
