Graduated in NL as a mining engineer and started his carreer in the mining industry. He worked in South Africa and Suriname for large mining companies.

In 1997 he came to Kazakhstan as an offshore operation manager with Boskalis and joined Fugro Kazprojects LLP as managing director in 2008. From 2018, Arjan was assigned as the managing director of FLP LLP.

Thanks to his time in west Kazakhstan, Arjan has established a large network within the marine operators of the northern Caspian sea.
